No Offense Intended.
It is apparent that very few people who know me, TRULY know ME.
Some interesting conversations have been happening recently with quite a few of my friends both on social media and in person.
It would seem that I am offending some of my closest friends whom just happen to be active military, active law enforcement, or veterans of either/both.
So I figured I would make this statement publicly to those of you who I interact with.
Our military, and police force are not what they used to be. In truth it is quickly becoming VERY difficult to tell the difference between them anymore.
My point is I respect “individuals” not “groups”.
If I respect you, I respect you because you have earned it as an individual, NOT because you were a member of some organization.
Just being part of a group does NOT make you respectable.
Of course I’m one that holds a very high regard to independence.
I feel that each person should be looked upon as an individual.
Just cause someone tells you to do something, doesn’t mean you HAVE to do it. That is what freedom and independence is all about.
That is why I don’t shout out all the “support the military” stuff.
Being a soldier or an officer doesn’t automatically make someone a good person.
Many joined just cause its a legal excuse to kill people.
Why would I respect them?
Nor do I have any respect for those whom arbitrarily do what they are told without question.
Our soldiers don’t fight for their country. They fight for their commander and chief.
And I have absolutely NO respect for that particular individual at this point in time.
The last time our military fought for our freedom was WWII when they were actually answering the call to defend our country from an actual attack.
Going to some other country and killing people for political gain, is NOT defending our liberty.
If soldiers are interested in defending our country and our liberty, they would be refusing to follow dubious orders, and returning home to defend our liberty from the one organization that is truly endangering it.
Our OWN government.
And in truth many already have.
There are plenty of officers in the past few years who have been relieved of command for refusing to agree to “fire on US citizens” and other such dubious demands.
And those individuals have earned by deepest respect.
Blind devotion isn’t the same thing as loyalty. But that’s just my opinion.
So here is a question to ask yourself.
When was the last time you breathed a sigh of relief when a police car or military vehicle pulled out onto the street behind you? Did you actually feel safe?
