  1. But what happens when someone dies from not wearing a seat belt, or worse it causes an accident that kills other people? Yes, the Government does infringe too much but sometimes there are genuine reasons for this even if it does go to far.

    • If someone dies from not wearing their seat belt THAT WAS THEIR CHOICE! Its called personal responsibility, and that’s what freedom is. You will NEVER get me to believe that SOMEONE ELSE can be harmed by ME not wearing a seat belt. And I will have to humbly disagree. In my opinion there is NEVER a “genuine” reason for government to tell me what I should do with MY life.

      • But what about other people that might be harmed from your actions? Or vulnerable people who do not have the same capacity to make decisions as you do, should there not be some protection in place to try and make an even playing for them?

      • “But what about other people that might be harmed from your actions?”

I stated in the original article. “So long as I am not DIRECTLY infringing on another CITIZENS rights. (LIKE THE GOVERNMENT IS DOING) leave me alone to do as I choose.” But the truth is the government will NEVER be able to protect an individual better than the individual can protect themselves. Always remember that when your life depends on seconds, government protection, is at minimum, minutes away.

“Or vulnerable people who do not have the same capacity to make decisions as you do, should there not be some protection in place to try and make an even playing for them?”

The simple answer is NO! Any time you make “charity” mandatory, it isn’t charity. Each individual should retain the right to be charitable IF THEY SO CHOOSE! But “mandatory charity” is simply slavery. The majority of “vulnerable” people are “vulnerable” by choice. Even “handicap” people have proven that with hard work, determination, and fortitude they can accomplish unimaginable results. In my opinion when you force the support of the weak onto the strong you hinder the progression of the species as a whole. All that you accomplish is that the strong eventually become weak and frail due to the excessive demands placed on them by the “unable”. Then instead of the strong surviving, the ENTIRE species dies instead. Everyone should be responsible FOR THEMSELVES. Everyone should be responsible for THEIR OWN FUTURE. And Everyone should be responsible for the CHOICES THEY MAKE to those ends.

People need to quite blaming their parents. People need to quite blaming God. People need to quite blaming the president. People need to quite blaming their next door neighbor. People need to quite blaming luck. What people need to do is grow a set, be responsible for their own lives, step up to the plate, and do what they must to achieve what they desire. Cause if YOUR not willing (or are incapable) to put the work into your future, why the hell should anyone else put any work into YOUR future.

For the record. I don’t believe in “handicap” people. I believe in individuals. Just because someone doesn’t think like you, look like you, interact with the world the same way you do, or their goals and dreams are different, doesn’t make them “handicapped”. The truth is it makes them no different, they are unique.

I am a realist, and a naturalist. I believe in survival of the fittest. I believe in natural selection. I believe that nature finds a way.
